Welcome to the 2nd CR-UK/MRC Gray Institute Symposium
Our first symposium marked the birth of the Institute in Oxford, this second one comes as the Institute reaches maturity, and is a chance to reflect with distinguished international colleagues on the challenges facing our field. This conference offers an outstanding and stimulating scientific programme, and I am delighted by the number of registrants and the quality of the abstracts submitted for presentation. The level of interest received is testimony to the progress and current levels of interest in the field.
This meeting will address several complementary research areas focused on DNA damage repair, the tumour microenvironment, signal transduction, advances in imaging and radiation therapeutics, new targets and new approaches to treatment. We aim to provide a platform for scientists and clinicians to discuss ideas and share scientific knowledge, and to offer a forum for young scientists in this important field of research to interact with each other and with international experts.
I hope to share a memorable scientific event with you.
